Denver Samoyed Rescue (DSR) is part of the Denver Samoyed Association, Inc. and was formally established in 1993. Denver Samoyed Rescue is a member of the local All Breed Rescue Network and is recognized as an active Samoyed rescue by the Samoyed Club of America.

What’s in a name? "Rescue" is a term we adopted because it was and is the one in general used by breed clubs to describe what we do: breed education and assistance, general canine welfare, and the placement of abandoned adult dogs in quality, permanent homes. Almost everyone is aware of the last activity because it is the most visible; however, we spend enough time on the others that they deserve some explanation.

Denver Samoyed Rescue is licensed by the State of Colorado to place dogs, and subject to the rules and regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Denver Samoyed Rescue works closely with area shelters to become apprised of Samoyeds needing to be placed in new homes, provides foster homes if needed, handles dogs found running at large, and takes requests from people wishing to place their Samoyeds in other homes. We do not sell puppies or dogs.

Donations to DSR are welcomed

As with most breed rescue groups, Denver Samoyed Rescue does a lot of public education and assistance in an effort to match Samoyeds with a suitable home, and keep them there.

All donations and fees go directly back to care for, and place, our rescue Samoyeds. Contributors
